It is with great honor and pride that we can announce that former Congressman and firefighter Curt Weldon has accepted our invitation to become the Honorary Chair of Firefighters for 9/11 Truth.
For decades, Curt Weldon has been a leading ambassador for the American fire service in many ways.

Former Pennsylvania congressman Curt Weldon, a longtime firefighter and fire chief, was on the scene at the World Trade Center in both 1993 (when explosives were detonated under the North Tower) and on 9/11 as chair of the Congressional Fire/EMS Caucus. He is a passionate advocate for all firefighters, including the 343 who died trying to save lives at Ground Zero. He believes that the best way to honor these and other fallen heroes is to find out the truth about what caused this horrific event and what could have been done to prevent it.

Curt Weldon served in Congress from 1987 to 2007. While his contributions to various issues are numerous, his specific actions in support of the American fire service are particularly notable.
He was a lifetime Firefighter/Fire Chief/PA State Fire Instructor/County Fire/EMS Training Director. All of these positions were volunteer while working as a teacher in public schools.
For 10 years he was the paid Director of Fire Protection/Risk Management Training for the largest Property/Casualty Insurance Company in North America (INA/CIGNA).
Throughout his tenure, Weldon actively advocated for the interests of first responders, including firefighters. He recognized the critical role they play in community safety and worked to ensure they received necessary federal support and resources.
Weldon was supportive of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, which provides federal funding to fire departments across the country. This program helps local fire departments with essential equipment, training, and resources to enhance their capabilities and safety.
He was involved in various public safety initiatives that indirectly benefited the fire service by promoting safety standards, emergency preparedness, and funding for emergency response services. Weldon also regularly stressed the importance of local fire departments and their role in serving communities, which led to increased attention to their funding needs at the federal level.

Overall, Curt Weldon’s advocacy and legislative efforts contributed to improving support and resources for firefighters and fire departments during his time in Congress like now other politician in history. His amazing support for firefighters and the American fire service continues to this day.
We would like to publicly thank Curt for his bravery in service to firefighters and the American fire service throughout his lifetime. Most importantly, we celebrate his bravery in facing the truth of 9/11 and speaking out with courage and honor.
